Nuestro Quito es patrimonio cultural de la humanidad", expresó la gran maestra Carla Heredia Serrano, una de las organizadoras de la primera edición del evento realizado en la capital ecuatoriana.
El hotel Quito, por el apoyo de su gerente Roberto Ramia, un aficionado e impulsor del juego ciencia, acogió a los 103 participantes en su primera versión. En ese sitio ya se habían realizado otros eventos de ajedrez, entre ellos torneos y simultáneas y ahora fue la sede de este encuentro académico del juego ciencia.
Como actividades adicionales a las sesiones de entrenamiento, se tuvieron conferencias sobre temas complementarios, de parte de los periodistas Ramiro Díez y Diego Londoño, con elementos como el psicoanálisis, la formación integral a través del juego y la comunicación y estrategias fuera del tablero, que abrieron la mente de los presentes a otros aspectos asociados a la disciplina deportiva.
“Agradecemos al hotel Quito por apoyarnos en esta iniciativa. A los maestros que, con paciencia y dedicación, compartieron con los jugadores desde los principiantes hasta el alto nivel. Esperamos que este sea el inicio de muchas más actividades similares para el ajedrez ecuatoriano”, expresó Carla Heredia, una de las organizadoras e instructoras del taller. Al finalizar el evento los participantes evaluaron el taller con muy buenas calificaciones.
