Tania Sachdev es uno de los personajes más llamativos en el ajedrez femenino internacional. A la jugadora del equipo nacional de India, le encanta viajar y participar en torneos en todas partes del mundo. Además la contratan a menudo como comentarista en los torneos de elite. Por ejemplo, fue comentarista en el duelo por el título mundial entre Vishy Anand y Magnus Carlsen en 2013, en Chennai. Este año presentó un programa diario en vídeo con un resumen del día en el Festival Tradewise de Gibraltar, mostrando los rincones más bellos del Peñón, con entrevistas a participantes y organizadores.
