Shakriyar Mamedyarov y Vishy Anand compartían el mando, pero el primero fue frenado por Daniil Dubov en la octava ronda y sufrió una derrota. Anand sacó una combinación de ensueño de la chistera y dio jaque mate a Alexander Grischuk. A continuación Vishy ya no dejó escapar la ventaja y ganó el torneo de rápidas.
