Wesley So
Wesley Barbasa So, nació el 9 de octubre de 1993, en Bacoor (Filipinas) Wesley se ha afiliado a la Federación Estadounidense de Ajedrez. En octubre de 2008 llegó a ser el jugador más joven en superar la barrera de 2600 puntos Elo, rompiendo el récord establecido por Magnus Carlsen.
A principios de 2013 llegó a formar parte de la "elite" mundial del ajedrez es decir, superó la barrera de los 2700 puntos. El año pasado fue fantástico también: se coronó vencedor del torneo de la ACP "Golden Classic" en Bérgamo (Italia) y a continuación ganó el 49 Memorial Capablanca en La Habana, con un punto más que Lázaro Bruzón. Tras otra victoria grandiosa en el abierto "Millionaire Chess" y el segundo puesto en el torneo Tata Steel 2015, Wesley So se ha incorporado al grupo de los 10 mejores ajedrecistas del mundo.
