27/09/2017 – Entre el 16 y el 26 de septiembre de 2017 se disputaron los Campeonatos del Mundo Juveniles en Montevideo. En total se disputaron 11 rondas en las competiciones sub-14 hasta sub-18, con secciones absoluta y femenina. José Eduardo Martínez Alcantara se coronó Campeón del Mundo Absoluto Sub-18 con 8,5/11 puntos y la mejor valoración de desempate. La medalla de plata fue para Alexandr Triapishko con la misma cantidad de puntos. Kevin Noboa fue bronce con 8/11 puntos. 22/09/2017 – Ya se llevan disputadas 5 rondas de los mundiales juveniles en Montevideo (Uruguay). En la sección absoluta sub-18 hay 5 líderes con 4/5 puntos: Luca Moroni (Elo 2499), Venkataramaran Karthik (Elo 2347), Florian Mesaros (Elo 2416), Alexandr Triapishko (Elo 2500) y Sebastian Mihaijlov (Elo 2399). En la prueba femenina también hay 5 líderes: Lan Yao (Elo 2343), Anastasia Avramidou (Elo 2259), Danitza Vázquez (Elo 2173), Teodora Injac (Elo 2277) y Laura Unuk. 19/09/2017 – El pasado sábado 16 de septiembre, quedó inaugurado el Campeonato del Mundo Juvenil en Montevideo (Uruguay) El acto se llevó a cabo en la Casa de la Legislatura. Se disputará hasta el 26 de septiembre inclusive. Las categorías comprendidas en esta prueba van desde sub-14 a sub-18, tanto femeninas como absolutas.
