Las Finales del Grand Chess Tour regresan en 2025, seis años después de haberse jugado por última vez. Del 28 de septiembre al 3 de octubre, São Paulo acoge el evento en el World Trade Center.
Las Finales se organizan como duelos por eliminación directa. Cada enfrentamiento está compuesto por dos partidas clásicas, dos rápidas y cuatro de blitz. Todos los duelos deben jugarse hasta el final, independientemente de si el resultado ya se ha definido.
Las partidas clásicas se jugarán con 90 minutos para las primeras 40 jugadas y 30 minutos para el resto de la partida, más un incremento de 30 segundos desde el inicio.
En las partidas rápidas, cada jugador dispondrá de 25 minutos con un incremento de 10 segundos.
Las partidas de blitz se jugarán con 5 minutos por bando y un incremento de 2 segundos.
Sistema de puntuación
Partidas clásicas: 6 puntos por victoria, 3 puntos por tablas, 0 por derrota
Partidas rápidas: 4 puntos por victoria, 2 puntos por tablas, 0 por derrota
Partidas de blitz: 2 puntos por victoria, 1 punto por tablas, 0 por derrota
