Los ganadores del supertorneo de Biel: Radoslaw Wojtaszek (plata), Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (oro) y Pentala Harikrishna (bronce)

Aparte del supertorneo también hubo ajedrez en otras modalidades. El torneo abierto magistral fue ganado por Adhiban Baskaran, de India. Ganó la partida de la última ronda con negras contra Dragan Solak y sumó 8,5/11 puntos como único jugador en dicho torneo. A continuación se clasificó un grupo de 7 jugadores con 7,5/11 puntos. El gran maestro israelí Victor Mikhalevski tenía la mejor valoración de desempate de los siete y por lo tanto se ubicó en la segunda posición. El tercer puesto fue para Mateusz Bartel, de Polonia.

El abierto magistral también fue decisivo para el Campeonato de Suiza Juvenil. En él ganó Noël Studer (en el centro), por delante de Lars Rindlisbacher (izda.) y Patrik Grandadam (dcha.)
Triunfaron también Edvard Sayadyan (en el centro), Fabian Baenzinger (izda.) y Lena Georgescu
Adhiban Baskaran (dcha.) se coronó vencedor del torneo abierto magistral y también subió al podio en el torneo de ajedrez rápido. Ganó el bronce. La medalla de oro de ajedrez rápido se la llevó el GM indio Surya Ganguly (en el centro) y Dragan Solak (izda.) ganó la medalla de plata.
El Campeón de Suiza de Ajedrez Rápido es Yannick Pelletier (en el centro). Joe Gallagher (izda.) quedó subcampeón. A la derecha está Peter Bohnenblust, presidente del comité organizdor.
El mejor jugador de ajedrez relámpago fue Michael Roiz (en el centro). En los puestos dos y tres se clasificaron Darius Swiercz (izda.) y Mikhail Antipov (dcha.)
Victor Mikhalevski, de Israel (en el centro), ganador de la medalla de plata en el magistral abierto, también demostró sus habilidades en el ajedrez Fischer y ganó la medalla de oro en esa modalidad. La medalla de plata fue para el alemán Andreas Heimann (dcha.) y la de bronce se la llevó Viktor Erdos, de Hungría (izda.)
