El "Reto de Magnus" en Nueva York
Para hoy, jueves 22 de septiembre 2016, la empresa "Play Magnus" ha organizado una exhibición de partidas simultáneneas con reloj contra 10 de los usuarios de la aplicación y otros invitados especiales. Será en el Liberty Science Center. El lema del acontecimiento es "Play Live Challenge".

El desafío comenzará a las 11:30 EST (hora de Nueva York). En Europa corresponde a las 17:30 CEST (Madrid/París/Berlín, etc.) El espectáculo durará apróximadamente dos horas y media. Tras la partida, Magnus Carlsen analizará con los rivales.
El acontecimiento se celebra en colaboración con la empresa de medios de comuncación noruega Verdens Gang (VG). La misma empresa también retransmitirá las partidas en directo con análisis y comentarios en noruego. Actualmente se ven anuncios en el reproductor de vídeos y algunos son bastante graciosos. En uno de ellos, Magnus tira las piezas contra la Muerte.
