13/06/2023 – La primera jornada de la fase clasificatoria regional de Europa y África comenzó con un duelo de alto nivel entre el número uno de Gran Bretaña, Michael Adams, y el mejor jugador polaco, Jan-Krzysztof Duda. Tras varios altibajos, Duda se impuso con un poco de suerte. Seis jóvenes ucranianos, que asistieron a la cuarta ronda del supertorneo invitados por el organizador Vadim Rosenstein, disfrutaron de la oportunidad de conocer a los participantes del WR Chess Masters.
