Carlsen metafísico
Rainn Wilson es un famoso actor estadounidense que ha trabajado en diversas películas y series de televisión. Ha sido candidato a los premios Emmy en varias ocasiones. Junto con unos amigos suyos, Wilson tiene una página web que se llama SoulPancake. Allí se tratan temas relacionados con el arte, la cultura, la ciencia, la filosofía, la espiritualidad y el humor.
Bajo el epígrafe "Batidos de leche metafísicos", Wilson suele entrevistar a personajes famosos y celebridades para plantearles las preguntas primordiales de la vida. Hizo lo mismo también con Magnus Carlsen. Le ha salido una entrevista muy entrenida que se realizó en un coche Chevrolet del año 1976 o al menos eso simularon. El número uno del ajedrez mostró un gran sentido del humor y reveló muchas cosas sobre si mismo y sobre cómo ve el mundo.
Una de las preguntas de Wilson fue por qué Carlsen sigue siendo tan modesto a pesar de todos sus triunfos. La respuesta de Carlsen fue que en Noruega se aprende desde pequeño que uno no se debe mirar mucho el ombligo.
A la pregunta sobre si se plantea el ajedrez más como artista o como guerrero, Carlsen respondió: "Como guerrero. Eso sí, busco la belleza y el arte en mis partidas, pero la meta principal es ganar".
Carlsen explicó que le fascinan los trucos de magia, que a veces sueña con jugadores de ajedrez que intentan hacer que llegue a la partida y que no se considera a si mismo un genio.
