Irina Bulmaga tiene el título de WGM/MI. Nació en Moldavia y juega bajo la bandera de Rumanía. Se coronó Campeona de Moldavia como jugadora más joven de todos los tiempos cuando tenía 14 años. Es integrante del equipo olímpico femenino de Rumanía desde el año 2010.

26/01/2021 – Irina Bulmaga es Gran Maestra femenina (WGM), Maestro Internacional (MI) y ajedrecista profesional. Descubrió el ajedrez siendo una niña y éste es desde entonces su pasión. En un emotivo relato, Irina rememora el inicio de su carrera ajedrecística como el flechazo que la hizo enamorarse para siempre del ajedrez.
22/01/2020 – Entre el 3 y el 13 de enero de 2020 se disputó la X Copa Femenina de Sharjah. Irina Bulmaga se adjudicó la victoria del torneo gracias a la valoración de desempate. En los puestos siguientes, igualmente con 7/9 puntos, se ubicaron MI Irine Sukandar, MI Olga Zimina y GM Monika Socko.
